Topics Covered:

1. Approval of Minutes: After a few attendees were added, the April 14th EESAC minutes were approved as read.
2. School Operations: It was necessary to restructure the Waiver for Grade Level Chairperson Supplements. The district shared with Ms. Klein that budgeting an addtional $6,000 needed to pay all the chairs the full supplement amount was unlikely in these economic times. Therefore, Broadmoor will have seven chairpersons equally sharing the allocated supplement funds for three, which equals $508 per chairperson. Individual conferences with Ms. Klein will be held May 12, 13, and 14th. When staff knows their grade level assignments for 2009-10 school year, new grade levels will meet to elect their new Chairperson.
Per the faculty discussion at our most recent staff meeting, April 29th, Broadmoor's Summer Interview Team will be: Ms. Smith, Dr. Rivera, and Ms. Doyle. The alternates will be Ms. Hampton, Ms. Quintero, and Ms C. Moore.
3. School Improvement Plan End-of-Year(EOY) & Restructuring Review: Since we are a Differentiated Accountability School, Broadmoor must participate in a restructuring plan. We are making progress and working toward Federal guidelines. Anyone interested in reading the guidelines can visit the website for more information. Staff and EESAC Verification documents are being completed. Names of any staff members wishing to volunteer their assistance in writing our SIP during summer recess need to give their name to Ms. Klein by Thursday, May 14th.
4. Curriculum Issues: Dibeling and PPVT testing is taking place using our testing team. Grade Levels have met to go over Interim Data. This year there will be a new fifth grade exit exam which will be used for middle school placement, and an additional exam for 3rd grade students not passing the FCAT. Portfolios need to be carefully prepared for appropriate students by their third grade teachers.
5. Budget: EESAC funds are still in question. We will know more after the new fiscal year.
6. New Business: There was no New Business discussed.
7. Meeting adjourned at 4:45 pm
