EESAC Business

· ESSAC Minutes will be posted online.
· Bylaws will be posted online
· Bylaws will be modified to reflect attendance policy
· Election held to replace Vivian Brown at next faculty meeting

New Business

· Budget $16,955 inclusive of remaining Florida Lead Teacher monies
· EESAC will fund the following:
a. Peace Foundation Materials $350.00
b. Furniture survey to be done 5 year goal
c. Custodial scrubber $1400.00
d. Cafeteria curtains 5 year goal
e. Accelerated Reader Incentives

· Student enrollment down
· PTA needs support from teacher expertise at faculty meeting teachers will be
encouraged to join

School Operations

· Custodial staff is short staffed; a waiver has been submitted for permission to hire.

Curriculum

· Pretest scores due September 25,2002
· Use CBC in lesson plans
· Make sure ESOL strategies are in lesson plans

Parental Involvement
· High school students to volunteer for community service - See Ms. Alston,
Counselor

· VIP's (Very Important Parents) letters to be sent to school community to
encourage school involvement
