Topics Covered:

1. Approval of Minutes: Last month’s meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
2. SIP Reviews/Updates: The School Improvement Plan has been uploaded and approved.
3. School Operations: no new items.
4. Curriculum Issues:
Winter packet will be distributed. Teachers please check your mailboxes. The Leadership Team created these packets. Do not send the answer sheet (bubble sheet) home. These will be filled out by the teacher when we return from the winter recess.
Winter Interims are being prepared. Ms. Ferguson and Ms. Quintero are working diligently in order to prepare the school for “crunch time”.
There are a limited number of practice books for the upcoming SAT. Please see the Leadership team if you have any items that you might be able to share that can be used prior to the administration of this assessment.
Response to Intervention (RTi): Everyone in grades 1 – 3 have been trained on how to implement this process with fidelity. Everyone has also received training on how to properly document this process.
F.A.I.R. testing will be completed tomorrow and reports will be printed. F.A.I.R. testing will be conducted after FCAT testing. The tentative date is April 28, 2011. Primary grades should be aware of the narrow testing window and adhere to timelines.
5. Budget: EESAC voted and agreed to invest up to $500 for a commercial vacuum and gasoline powered trimmer. All accessories and incidental costs will be considered prior to placing the order.
Mr. Goa and Ms. Brown (under the direction of Mr. Roan) are to be commended for their efforts in keeping the grounds looking beautiful. They all have done a wonderful job.
Go Math! Kits have been distributed to 3rd grade teachers.
Ms. Sanchez has been hired on an hourly basis. Ms. Klein will decide in what capacity she will serve.
6. Title I:
Broadmoor Elementary School is in compliance with the Title I office. All documentation has been submitted.
Title I awarded the school additional funds and the administration was able to order supplies for the school.
