Topics Covered:

1. Approval of Minutes: Last month’s meeting minutes were reviewed and approved.
Guests: Dr. Tanesha Sewell, Ms. Kativa Edwards-Jerry
2. Review bylaws and the updated roster:
The bylaws were reviewed by the members. The updated roster was finalized.
3. SIP Reviews/Updates:
The 2012-2013 School Improvement Plan (SIP) was reviewed. Goals and Strategies were discussed by the committee members. The SIP will be uploaded to the State’s template by Friday, October 12, 2012.
4. RtI/Leadership Team Reviews/Updates:
F.A.I.R testing has been completed. Students needing interventions have been identified. Intervention schedules have been distributed and are being adhered to school wide. Success Maker reports have been reviewed by the administrative team and have been distributed to classroom teachers.
5. Title I Parent Involvement Plan (PIP):
The School Parent Compact Evaluations/Reviews were discussed by the committee.
6. Open Forum Discussion:
School Operations
No new items.
Curriculum Issues
District Fall Interim assessments are scheduled for the end of October. Third through fifth grade will be tested in the areas of Reading, Mathematics, and Science. Kindergarten through second grade will be tested in the areas of Reading and Mathematics only. A memorandum delineating the dates and times of these assessments will be forthcoming.
Action Plans/Data Chats: Data chats with the administrative team have been completed and submitted by classroom teachers. These plans are living documents that should be periodically reviewed and adhered to when planning your instruction. These plans will be the reviewed at the next data chat meeting (after District Fall Interim assessments).
