6. Open Forum Discussion:
School Operations
All testing completed. Reports have been distributed and data chat have been conducted. Ms. Klein analyzed the data and has a “4855 Plan”. If we keep our satisfactory students at this level and move the limited to satisfactory, the school can reach its goal and attain great learning gains. The data show that if two (2) students per class can move from limited to satisfactory, the goal can be met.
Curriculum Issues

7. Budget Reviews/Updates:
Ms. Klein will meet with Mr. White (spouse of Ms. Joann Welch) in order to price a sound system at a cheaper price. She will meet with him on February 18, 2013. The system could possibly be in use for the end of year culminating ceremonies in the cafeteria.
8. Title I:
Everything is in place. The audit did not result in any non-compliance issues.
Ms. Klein would like to thank all of the teachers that are working in the afterschool tutoring program.
9. New Business: no new business items.
10. Comments/Concerns: There are no comments/concerns from parents.
Concern: Dr. Sewell was not able to attend due to the tutoring schedule and coverage.
Question (Welch): What happened with the Clorox grant application and the playground?
Answer (Klein): We did not get the money. Our school did not rank high enough to win the grant money from Clorox. Our school is slated to be updated as a result of the bond referendum. Some of our buildings are not under consideration. The bond referendum also will result in a technology upgrade for our school. As such, we were not able to procure the Smart Boards for the Kindergarten. However, the portable Smart Board can be used, but you must be careful with it. Teachers may check out the projector and Smart Board. Please see Ms. Suzy Barroso, School Secretary. As a suggestion, Kindergarten may want to combine classes for these lessons.
The meeting was adjourned at 4:20 p.m.
