EESAC Meeting Minutes
09/11/14
Time: 7:46 a.m.
Dr. Omar Riaz, Principal, opened the meeting by discussing the school budget (see CASAS printout). Our school budget has generated a teaching position which will be allocated to first grade.
Dr. Riaz also distributed a copy of the Parent’s Guide to the Florida Standards. This document was distributed to students to provide parents with information on frequently asked questions about the new Florida Standards.
There will be elections at the next faculty meeting for EESAC. Teachers will vote for various positions.
The PTA/PTSA will hold elections for parents. They are working on submitting names for the new board.
EESAC meetings are to be held the second Tuesday of every month according to the current bylaws. The verbiage will be changed to “once a month”. Meetings will take place on a Thursday at 4:10 p.m. in the Media Center.
The agenda and related documents will be emailed prior to EESAC meetings. A notice of the meeting will also be included.
The meeting minutes from May 6, 2014 and today’s meeting will be reviewed and approved at the next EESAC meeting.
Ms. Amparo Quintero, EESAC Chairperson will update the 2014-2015 roster accordingly.
