SIP Review/Updates
Nothing has changed. Tomorrow we will have an internal instructional review. We will submit the action plan and get feedback for the next instructional review. (Riaz)
When would that be? (Jerry)
Possibly in May, nothing has been scheduled. (Riaz)

RTI/Leadership Teams Reviews/Updates
Ms. Rodriguez is in the process of asking teachers for their recommendations for retentions. The first retention letters will go out after the second grading period. Please make sure that we start the referral process for any students you will recommend for retention. (Riaz)

Open Forum/ Discussions
School operations
Not much has changed. (Riaz)
I would like to know if we can hold a parent meeting as a refresher for informing parents on how to help their children. (C. Moore)
We will have another Parent academy meeting on December 19th. That is a great opportunity for this to be discussed for the parents that come. Ms. Rosario will assist parents in applying for Kid Care in this meeting. (Riaz)
I was thinking the meeting could be more like a second open house for teachers who would like to participate. (C. Moore)
How about we have an information table in the Holiday concert from 5:30pm to 6:30pm to inform any parents that are interested? (Jerry)
We will look into it. (Riaz)

Curriculum issues
Nothing has changed. Just continue to encourage students to do I-Ready at home. (Riaz)

Budget and Personnel Reviews/Updates
Mr. Castells last day will be December 22nd since Mrs. Woods returns December 23rd. He will be hired as a sub to provide push in services for gifted students. He will be scheduled at least one day of the week. He will work at that capacity until February 2nd to take Ms. Grisales’ place when she goes on maternity leave. (Riaz)
Could we hire more interventionist? (Jerry)
It costs 28,000 to hire an interventionist a year. It may be difficult. It is either we buy a laptop cart or hire an interventionist. (Riaz)
When third grade starts computer testing we will need more carts to facilitate the process. (Quintero)
We will look into it. (Riaz)
Do we have any funds to buy school wide fieldtrip shirts? (Jerry)
It would be difficult. Each shirt costs about three or four dollars each totaling up to about fifteen hundred dollars. (Riaz)
Could we ask the parents to buy the t-shirts? (Jerry)
Yes, that is an alternative. You can speak to Suzie the secretary to get that started. (Riaz)

Title I
No Changes. (Riaz)

New Business
The Miami Dolphins sought us out to select twenty-five students to participate in a field trip to the stadium to meet the players and receive up to one hundred and twenty-five dollars’ worth of gifts. We do not know how we were chosen. They approached us. We were one of two school selected in the district. (Riaz)

Comments/ Concerns:
Could we do a mannequin challenge as a school? (C.Moore)
We could look into it. We would have to see which students have signed media consent forms. If anything the teachers could do it in their classroom. (Riaz)
It would be great to do. It would build school moral. (C.Moore)

Motion to adjourn (Quintero)
Motion carried (all)
Adjourned 4:30pm.
