2019-2020 School Improvement Process (SIP)
On Monday, we began Quarter 2 of Phase II and will be shared next faculty meeting. We are reinforcing what we have done, and we have two weeks to review. The SIP was presented at Datacom and was based on the Impact Review. - Dr. Riaz
The PFEP will be reviewed tomorrow during the Title 1 meeting and should be uploaded the week of December 20th. – Dr. Riaz

M-DCPS The Parent Academy Mobile Application
Take a look at the flyers for the Parent Academy Mobile Application. Parents and students can download that app, it will give all the information about our school. They can find different things like applications, workshops and different activities happening at our school. – Dr. Riaz
Can parents and teachers log in through the portal? – Ms. Correa
Yes, and they can see grades too. It is easier than ClassDojo. – Ms. Rosario
It can provide help with homework and you can find workshops for parents who have children with disabilities. – Ms. Welch
Is it only accessible s an app? – Dr. Galceran

Can parents find the information in both English and Spanish? – Ms. Correa

MDCPS School Dashboard (Broadmoor)
If you look at the paper with the dashboard, this is all the information on our school and the district has been working for a couple of years on this. If you go on the website, they will be able to see this. -Dr. Riaz

Updates
iReady- For reading, 99% of our students are done with the Growth Monitoring. The student pending to take it has been absent. – Ms. Quintero
She will be withdrawn. – Dr. Riaz
For math, the same applies, the only students who have yet to take the test has been absent consecutively, but the majority has tested. – Ms. Nazario
Math Topic Assessments- Teachers are beginning Topic 5 now, and we have reviewed data after each Topic Assessment to drive instruction. – Ms. Nazario
G3: 55.9%, G4: 51%, G5: 55.3%, Science G5: 48.8%
FSA Weekly Assessments- Teachers continue to take their bi-weekly assessments. – Ms. Quintero
G3: 55.5%, G4: 57.5%, G5: 48.1%
Monthly Instructional Focus- We will move with implementation steps from the SIP, reinforcing what we have been doing including data disaggregation. – Dr. Riaz

RtI/Leadership Team Reviews/ Updates
We are continuing the RTI process and met with 7 parents today for gifted. If teachers have any new students to start RFA, I will send them an email with information to get started. – Dr. Galceran
Pre-K is concerned that we are not tested for gifted. Some students display behavioral issues because they are not being challenged. -Ms. Welch
I am interested to see what they implement in order to test Pre-K. -Dr. Galceran

Open Forum/ Discussions
School Operations- We have a new teacher, Ms. Duque for 4th and 5th grade ESOL level 1 and 2 students. Ms. Moreno should be coming soon, and both will alleviate class size and students will get more individualized instruction to meet learning needs. – Dr. Riaz
Curriculum Issues- None

Budget Reviews/ Updates
CASAS- Funds were received yesterday, and the only big change is the loss of a basic teacher but the gain of ESOL teacher, Ms. Moreno and BCC teacher, Ms. Duque. Our operating budget is about 2 million, but the majority goes to salaries. -Dr. Riaz

Tomorrow we have an audit. Hopefully everything goes well! – Ms. Rosario

New Business
Dr. Riaz went to Washington and I have videos of him talking on the panel! – Dr. Galceran
We have not received 2nd grade books we have requested, but Ms. Florio from ETO stated she will get them to send her an email. – Dr. Galceran
