Topics Covered:

Curriculum Issues

*The EESAC committee reviewed the School Improvement Plan (SIP) and discussed the contents.

*The EESAC committee discussed the Plan-Do-Study-Act, for example, the meaning and the contents. Grade Level Chairpersons will meet with grade levels to discuss the Plan-Do-Study-Act.

* Second grade will be using a new program for Reading called Reading Plus. The program will be issued on January 3, 2005.

* On December 23, twenty (20) students will be issued bicycles.

* Broadmoor would like to begin a bank with teachers' ideas that can be shared school-wide.

Budget

* The EESAC committee would like the media specialist to be exposed to other schools and to observe ideas on how to improve Broadmoor's media center.

*Mrs. Klein shared thoughts and ideas that she observed while investigating other schools.

School Operations

* The laminating machine is out of order. Technicians are unable to determine the problem. Therefore, Ms. Duarte will speak to Ms. Barroso to determine if EESAC has enough money to purchase a new laminating machine.

New Business

* The Bulletin Board should be ready for display by January 3, 2005.
