School Improvement Process (SIP) Approval
Approve Phase 1 and 11: We are currently working on Academic Programs by continuing collaborative data chats, hosting interventions/RtI, and providing data-driven instruction. We are fortifying our school culture as well by promoting our shared vision/mission, providing team building activities, and instilling goal oriented learning into our lessons.- Mr. Lazo

School Reopening Plan
A very elaborate plan is being written and put together in order to accept students back into the schoolhouse upon the superintendents say-so. The plan goes over numerous procedures that will be put in place such as social distancing, small groups, sanitization, hand-washing stations, water bottle filling stations, and much more. The purpose of this plan is to promote safety guidelines and procedures for a safe return to the school site to students, faculty, and staff. The plan is pending approval.- Mr. Lazo

Budget Reviews/Updates
Money is tight right now, we were fighting to keep positions. Luckily, we did not lose any positions; updating ESE rosters and testing ELL students in a timely manner really helped.
We lost two part-time custodians, but hired one full-time custodian. We currently have three full-time and one part-time custodian. FTE week begins October 5th and final budget meetings are held the first week of October.- Mr. Lazo

Title 1
We just had a meeting recently and noticed that because of the pandemic, numbers are trending low. We have always had high numbers of parents, so we will continue to provide parent services with what we have via zoom. - Ms. Rosario

New Business
Will all teachers be coming back even if some students will remain in virtual learning?- Ms. Grisales
Depends on parent surveys. So far, it is 50/50 at Broadmoor.- Mr. Lazo
Does the Corona Care Act exempt some teachers from coming back into the building?- Ms. Welch
I believe that might fall under FMLA, but I will have to double check that and get back to you. -Mr. Lazo

I second that motion.- Ms. Nazario
