School Operations: As we approach the end of the year, we will begin full cleaning of the building on June 10th, which is a Teacher Planning Day.- Mr. Lazo
Curriculum Issues:
K-2 will have a new reading series and teachers will take learning sessions found in Curriculum and Resources via their portal. I will send a step-by-step document on how to access the webinar. - Ms. Quintero
There is also a new Learning Management System that will be available for next school year called Schoology. Selected people will be sent to attend the workshops in the summer. This platform is similar to Microsoft Teams and staff will be fully trained when they return from summer recess.- Mr. Lazo
The leadership team will be trained during Synergy this summer and will train the staff upon return from summer break. - Ms. Quintero
Is it true that if a representative of Schoology comes to train us, the $100 stipend will not be provided, but if we are trained by our own staff, then teachers will be given the stipend?- Ms. Welch
I have not heard about that, but I will find out and let you know. - Mr. Lazo

Budget Reviews/Updates: Last Tuesday I attended budget conference for the next school year. We will continue to increase enrollment and there will be no surpluses because we have been conservative with spending. I result of this, we have been able to keep all personnel.- Mr. Lazo
So, at this point we are not down in numbers? We are ok?- Ms. Jerry
I will be happy if we get 18 more students. I am trying to attain them by convincing 42 students to come here that belong to us that are currently in charter school.- Mr. Lazo
Where are we in numbers as of right now?- Ms. Welch
Projected FTE for budget is 401, but we are currently sitting on 399. We have 76 5th graders leaving, so let me work on recruitment. I don't think we have to worry. - Mr. Lazo
