Topics Covered:

School Operations

* Mrs. Klein wanted permission from EESAC to cancel music for the remainder of the school year. The sub funds for the remaining school year are low. Students will be receiving a comment 31 on the report card for the 4th nine weeks. This request will be voted on by the teachers. The votes are due on Thursday, April 14, 2005 by 9:00 am.

* New furniture and accessories have been purchased for students and teachers.


Curriculum

* Mrs. Ramos will conduct a meeting to discuss the 4th administration of the DIBELS and the writing posttest.

* 3rd grade will be receiving a refresher course in teaching writing skills for Florida Writes.

*Teachers should reflect appropriate grades for students on the report card.

*Summer school will be open for Broadmoor's students only. Classes will be held from June 22-July 20. Teachers who are interested in working summer school are asked to submit their names no later than Friday, April 15, 2005.

* Open House for the 2005-2006 school year will be held on Saturday, August 6th from 9-11am. All staff members are expected to attend.

* Professional Development day will be held August 4th.

* All 2005-2006 grade level chairpersons will receive a stipend and will serve on the EESAC committee. New grade level chairpersons will be introduced to the EESAC committee in the May meeting.


Budget

* Science board sales have been progressing nicely.

* PTA would like to purchase a strolling marquee with their fundraising money.


New Business

* Broadmoor Publishing will be in May.
