1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Welcome to 4th EESAC meeting of the 2010-2011 school year
3. Update by Principal
a. Preparation for FCAT testing is in process
i. After school tutoring has been increased to 3 times a week
ii. Saturday tutoring has also begun for selected 3rd grade students
b. All in house assessments including reading district assessments show overall positive results
c. National Assessment Governing Board panel members from Washington D.C. visited the school this morning along with State Senator Anitere Flores
i. Purpose of visit was to get a better idea of the school’s teaching methods and ask questions to colleagues and staff
d. FCAT student pep rally has been scheduled for March 3, 2011
4. Update by EESAC members
a. Suggestions about location of graduation ceremony
b. Yearbook
i. 5th grade teachers created a memory page for 5th grade students. This page will be added to our yearbook.
c. ESSAC members continue to review the implementation of the SIP
5. Closure
a. Next EESAC meeting will be held on June 14, 2011 @ 3:30 pm
