Topics Covered:

1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Welcome to the third EESAC meeting of the 2016-2017 school year
3. Update by Principal
a. Conducted FSA and SAT parent workshops for grades K-5 lead by school principal, lead teacher, teachers and school counselor throughout January and February.
b. At these meetings district (mid-year) and state mandated exams (mid-year) results, iReady and in-house exam results were discussed
c. After school tutoring resumed in January and is taking place for grades 2 through 5 through April 2017.
d. FSA student pep rally took place on March 17, 2017.
e. Current student enrollment is at 538.
f. Title I Chess competition took place on 2/4/2017.
g. SECME competition took place on 2/4/2017
h. Jump Rope for Heart kick off began on 3/16/17
i. Mater Academy East has scheduled its Annual Art Auction for March 31st, 2017
j. End of Year Show scheduled for May 2017.
4. Update by EESAC members
5. EESAC Members continue to review the implementation of the SIP
6. EESAC reviewed the votes that had been taken at the beginning of the school year, which concluded that FSRP funds would be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive.
7. EESAC members made suggestions on the following:
a. Upcoming annual Art Auction location and theme
b. End of year graduation/activities for fifth grade students
c. Purchasing materials to further develop SECME program
