Topics Covered:

1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Welcome to the fourth EESAC meeting of the 2016-2017 school year
3. Updates by the Principal
a. Mater Academy East is awaiting FSA, SAT & FCAT Science results
b. Mater Academy East will be having their annual Science Fair on May 26th, 2017.
c. Mater Academy East Graduation and End of Year Show took place on May 15th, 2017 and May 17th, 2017
d. Collected and in the process of completing end of year SIP review
e. Explained the process used to solicit faculty input for the completion of the 2016-2017 Continuous Improvement Reflection Worksheet and discussed how consensus was achieved.
4. Update by EESAC members
a. Recommendations for the 2016-2017 Continuous Improvement Plan
i. Teachers will be continuously informed on the latest data analysis trends through professional development opportunities
ii. Teachers will continue to use data to drive differentiated and whole group instruction in the up-coming school year
b. Recommendations for the 2017-2018 SIP
i. School will provide additional professional development trainings for faculty members during the 2017-2018 school year.
ii. School should provide additional opportunities for the parents to better understand the curriculum in use at our school
iii. School should provide additional trainings for parents to inform them on school policies

c. Reviewed Mater Academy East’s bylaws and no changes were made
d. Reviewed Mater Academy East’s Roster and no changes were made
e. Approved and reviewed Mater Academy East’s EESAC minutes from March 28, 2017.
5. Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2015-2016 school year will be in effect; awaiting release of data/ school grade for the 2015-2016 school year: EESAC came to a consensus that FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive when funds are available.
6. The EESAC hereby votes to use the award funds received under the School Recognition Award to pay bonuses to faculty and staff of the school. In order for an employee to be eligible to receive the bonus, the employee must (1) be employed at the school during the year for which the school received Recognition Award and (2) be employed by the school at the time the funds are disbursed by the school to the employees. If an employee resigns or is terminated prior to the school disbursing the funds, the employee forfeits the monetary bonus, The EESAC reserves the right to pro-rate the funds in the event that the employee is not employed for the entire school year for which the funds were received. Award amounts will be separated into five different categories; a) Teachers and full time faculty; b) Part time instructional employees (includes teacher assistants); c) Office and support staff; d) Cafeteria staff (if employed by school) Security staff; e) Administrators. The amounts to be paid as bonuses in each of these categories shall be based on the same proportions that have been used in the past when the school has received the Award.
