2. Approved: Committee approved resignation of Maria Jimenez, Jaclyn Pruna, Yvette Aguirre, Jennifer Garcia, Javier Llanes, Nike Akinde, Leonardo Deguzman, Desiree Santana, Andrea Cruz, Anthony Aviles, and Antonio Roca
3. Approved: Newly elected members: Elizabeth Murillo, Antonio Vazquez, Anyelin Vasallo, Jaci Charney-Perez, Jennifer Carrion, Jessica Collado, Susan Inirio, Tivisay Gonzalez, Yaima Bonet, Julianne Klein, and Judith Marty
4. Welcome to first EESAC meeting of the 17-18 school year.
5. Updates by Principal
a. High Performing Charter School for 13th consecutive year.
b. Current Enrollment: 504
c. Early Intervention Tutoring Program: for qualifying students in grades three through five and will begin on October 9th, 2017.
d. Ronald McDonald Back to School Night: TBA
e. Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place on October 18th, 2017.
f. MAE partners with the following organizations for the 2017-2018 school year:
i. McDonald’s Restaurants
ii. Amigos for Kids
iii. Common Threads
iv. Publix
v. City of Miami Parks and Rec.
g. Open House scheduled for October 4th, 2017
h. Lunch application Meetings were held on September 25th to assist parents in filling out their lunch application forms.
i. After school activities: Cheerleading, FFEA, Chess, Cooking, Science Club, Art Club, and Fitness Program for students
6. FSA Rewards Update
a. Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2016-2017. EESAC Committee came to a consensus; FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive when funds are available.
7. Updates by EESAC members
a. SIP was reviewed and necessary changes were made.
b. Composition Waiver Requests/Roster was reviewed and approved by EESAC members.
c. Approved: Members came to a consensus that funds will be used to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
d. Approved: Members reviewed and approved By Laws
e. Approved: Members reviewed and approved Assurance Checklist
