Topics Covered:
1. Meeting was called to order and quorum was established.
2. Approved: Minutes from November 20, 2019 EESAC Meeting
3. Welcome to third EESAC meeting of the 19-20 school year.
4. Updates by Principal
a. Plan to conduct FSA and SAT Parent Workshops for grades K-5 lead by school Principal, Assistant Principal, teachers and counselor throughout the month of February and March.
i. At these meeting district (mid-year) and state mandated exams (mid-year) results, iReady and in-house exam results will be discussed
b. After school tutoring resumed in January and is taking place for grades 3-5 through May 2020.
c. Second Nine Weeks Principal’s Honor Roll Breakfast: February 19th
i. Students on the Honor Roll will be invited with two guests to have breakfast with the Principal and administrators and will be recognized with an award.
d. Book Fair: Took place during the week of Feb 3rd through Feb 7th
i. Parent Night on Feb 5th at 4:30 PM
e. FSA Pep Rally will take place on March 19, 2020.
i. Approved: Final schedule of events
ii. Approved: Teachers with the highest percentage of level 5’s on FSA ELA and Math 2019 will receive reward bonus on day of pep rally. Teachers in grades K-2 with the highest 70% or above on the 2019 SAT Reading and Math will receive reward bonus on day of pep rally.
f. Title I Chess Competition January 11, 2020
g. SECME Competition took place on February 9, 2020
h. Fitness Week will take place 2/24-2/28
i. Jump Rope for Heart Kick off February 24
ii. Activities: YOGA, ZUMBA, and professionals in the medical field will be speaking to the children
i. End of Year Show scheduled for May 2020
5. FSA Rewards Update
a. Approved: Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2018-2019. EESAC Committee came to a consensus; FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all current employees actively working at an Academica managed school at the time of disbursement.
6. STEM Accreditation Updates
a. Cognia STEM Certification Engagement Review for Mater Academy East Charter School will take please from April 22-24, 2020
b. Our STEM Team attended the Cognia Connect Conference in Orlando from Jan.15-16
7. Updates by EESAC members
a. School Improvement Plan
i. SIP Review: The current SIP was reviewed by all EESAC members
1. Approved: No changes will be made to the 19-20 SIP at this times
b. Title I Parent and Family Engagement Plan (PFEP)
i. PFEP Review: The current PFEP was reviewed by all EESAC members
1. Approved: No changes will be made to the 19-20 PFEP at this times
