i. MAE is following the MDCPS Student Progression Plan in regards to instructional minutes and curriculum
1. Including SEL Curriculum and Health and Wellness
ii. Parent and School Communication continues to be at the forefront of the schools vision and mission (Via Zoom)
1. Parent orientation meetings
2. School Nurse/School Counselor/ Program Specialist Meetings (Mater Academy East HSO)
3. Meetings with the Principal
4. Open House- September 29, 2021
b. Current Enrollment: 470 for the 21-22 school year
c. STEM Updates
d. Early Intervention Tutoring Program: for qualifying students in grades three through five (Start date 10/11/2021)
e. Hispanic Heritage: We will be having different activities throughout the month
f. MAE continues to partner with the following organizations for the 2021-2022 school year:
i. Amigos for Kids
ii. Common Threads
iii. Publix
iv. City of Miami Parks and Rec.

vii. Shake-A-Leg Miami
4. Title I Funds
a. MAE was awarded: $268,040.00 for the 21-22 school year.
b. Committee reviewed the Title I budget for the 21-22 school year.
c. Approved: Title I Budget was approved by all committee members
5. Updates by EESAC members
a. Roster was reviewed and approved by EESAC members.
b. Approved: Members reviewed and approved By Laws
c. Approved: Members reviewed and approved Assurance Checklist
d. SIP Phase I and II was reviewed
i. Approved: SIP Phase I and II for the 21-22school year.
ii. Approved: SIP signature page was signed by all required members.
e. Approved: Members came to a consensus that EESAC funds will be used to purchase instructional materials
f. PFEP
i. PFEP for the 20-21 was reviewed and completed.
ii. Approved: PFEP for the 21-22 school year.
