3. Welcome to third EESAC meeting of the 21-22 school year.
4. Updates by Principal
a. Conducted FSA and SAT Parent Workshops for grades K-5 lead by school Principal, Assistant Principal, teachers and counselor throughout the month of February and March.
b. School Climate Surveys-School Climate Survey Window: Feb.- May
i. The School Climate Surveys are an integral part of the District’s efforts to promote school improvement and educational accountability. The purpose of these surveys is to gather information regarding what these groups think about the school and their perceptions concerning how the school can be improved.
ii. Students in 4th and 5th grade were provided the student link in order to complete survey
iii. All parents were provided the parent survey link to complete survey
iv. All teachers/staff were provided the parent survey link to complete survey
c. FSA/FCAT Testing:

5. FSA Rewards Update
a. Approved: Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2021-2022 (if applicable). EESAC Committee came to a consensus; FSRP funds will be distributed amongst all current employees actively working at an Academica managed school at the time of disbursement.
6. School Wide Academic Progress Updates
a. Results of AP2 indicate that the school is moving in the right direction to achieve goals set for the 21-22 school year.

7. STEM Partnership Updates
i. Shake-A-Leg sailing program

1. Working with our STEM partner, the University of Florida, students learned about the sources of their food and how the agricultural industry provides them with the food and resources they need to live. Students learned about the importance of clean drinking water and how it is sourced in South Florida via aquifers, discovered how to grow their own vegetables using hydroponic methods, and were able to identify the various plants and livestock that provide them with the products they use every day.
iv. Process of obtaining partnership with Baptist Health Systems to enhance out health science program/curriculum.
