Welcome
• Call to order 5:42pm
• Quorum established
• Welcome back to all members and update on members not returning
EESAC Enrollment/Applications
• Review of rules, procedures, bylaws
• Provided applications as part of the Open House tonight
• Vote on applicants as part of our next meeting
• Bringing on the Student Government members to participate
Budget Outlook
• Cuts will create a $300 deficit per child
• State has issue more money in the FTE allocations; however, certain grants have been removed
• Anticipating budget cuts so we have enrolled 100 extra students
• Blended learning model to adjust to changes (Ms. Xiques and Mr. Coronel)
• Current enrollment is just under 725
Facilities
• Painted, waxed, and repaired throughout the entire building over the summer
• Added a new full-time security guard
• We now have one security guard on each floor at all times
• Security guards will assist with new process for lunch-division of middle and high school lunch programs.
• Security assignments at dismissal have taken care of all the dismissal issues and created a safer environment

SIP Review
• Explained the new template used to identify data, needs, and barriers in Reading, Math, Science, and Writing for all demographic subgroups identified
• Update on data and SIP Reviews will be discussed during the October meeting.
Summer
• Successful Dual Enrollment program with Doral College, where students took a Psychology course and have the option of taking the AP Psychology exam at the end of the school year.
• Algebra I course for students that did not pass the Algebra I EOC Exam
• Virtual summer program for middle and high school students using the Florida Virtual School Program.
Title I
• Description of program
• Tonight we will have our Annual Parent Meeting
• Complete Parent Compacts for 2012-2013
• Provide information regarding SES Tutoring Program
Master Schedule
• We were able to homogenously group students by ability for most courses, this facilitates teacher approach to instruction.
• Provide very few singleton courses, which can often make scheduling much more difficult
Open House
• Tonight from 6:30pm to 9:30pm
• Information about Title I
• Teacher and classes
• Getting to know the teachers and parents event
• Provide information about SES Tutoring, Afterschool care, and different programs
