Welcome
EESAC Applicants
• Added Student Government as part of EESAC to serve as student representatives
• Approval of EESAC rosters by all members, alternate members were emailed roster
• Changes to rosters due to student members and parents of graduates for previous school year.
• Consensus reached with regards to new members
• Review of rules, procedures, bylaws
• Vote on applicants as part of our next meeting
Budget Outlook
• Budget allocation
• Current enrollment is just under 690
Facilities
• Painted, waxed, and repaired throughout the entire building over the summer
• Added a two off-duty police officers (one to remain on campus and other to escort to and from PE)
• Security and police assignments at dismissal have taken care of all the dismissal issues and created a safer environment
• Schedule lock down and fire drills for this month
SIP Review
• Explain changes to the School Improvement Plan for 2014-2015 school year
• Only 4 goals this year
• Review data in all subject areas and for all demographic subgroups identified
• Identify barriers, strategies, resources, needs, and barriers in different subject areas
• Approval of School Improvement Plan by all EESAC members

We have hired 2 interventionist to conduct pull-out tutorials for all level 1 and 2 FCAT scoring students in the middle school.
Title I
• Description of program
• Survey ideas for parents and ways to involve parents as active members in the child’s learning
• Annual Parent Meeting was on September 18th
• Complete Parent Compacts for 2013-2014 and review from parent input
• Parent input for the development of the Parent Involvement Plan
o Rodriguez (Business Partner): “Will we be having those parent meetings we had before? We can definitely add those.”
o Medina (Parent): “We can include events we offer to the students and parents. Like parent teacher conferences and social events too.”
Title III
• Offering afterschool tutorial program through Title III – funds for ESOL student tutorial program.
After-school tutoring
• Additionally we will be offering afterschool tutoring to non-ESOL students that scored a Level 1 or 2 on their FCAT. This service will be for students in grades 6th – 10th.
