Approved: Committee approved resignation of 6009 members: Lance Lobar, Sonia Marques, Christine Erice, Jennifer Carrion, Nike Akinde, Yamilet Garcia Alejandro Ponce, Opeyemi Akinde, and Antonio Roca. Approved resignation of 7037 members: Lance Lobar, Jennifer Carrion, Michael Tamayo, Paola Torres, Leonardo Fuentes, Ruby Valeria, Lisandra Triana, Millie Sanchez.

4. Welcome to first EESAC meeting of the 17-18 school year.
5. Updates by Principal
a. Current Enrollment: 6009: 169 7037: 249
b. Early Intervention Tutoring Program: for qualifying students in grades six through eight and will begin on October 9th, 2017.
c. Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place on September 28th, 2017.
d. MAE partners with the following organizations for the 2017-2018 school year:
i. American Airlines Arena
ii. Verizon
iii. Publix
iv. Leading & Learning
v. City of Miami Parks and Rec.
e. Open House scheduled for October 4th, 2017
f. Lunch application Meetings being held on September 26th to assist parents in filling out their lunch application forms.
g. After school activities will add Volleyball and Poetry Club and continue to have DECA, SECME, Chess, Basketball, NHS/NJHS
6. Updates by EESAC members
a. SIP was reviewed and necessary changes were made.
b. Composition Waiver Requests/Roster was reviewed and approved by EESAC members.
c. Approved: Members came to a consensus that funds will be used to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
d. Approved: Members reviewed and approved By Laws
e. Approved: Members reviewed and approved Assurance Checklist
