4. Welcome to first EESAC meeting of the 18-19 school year.
5. Updates by Principal
a. Current Enrollment: 6009: 139 7037: 206
b. Early Intervention Tutoring Program: for qualifying students in grades six through eight and will begin on October 8th, 2018.
c. Hispanic Heritage Festival: TBA (October)
d. MAE partners with the following organizations for the 2018-2019 school year:
i. American Airlines Arena
ii. Verizon
iii. Publix
iv. Leading & Learning
v. City of Miami Parks and Rec.
e. Open House scheduled for September 26th, 2018
f. Lunch application Meetings being held on September 6th to assist parents in filling out their lunch application forms. Meetings were held at flexible times to accommodate everyone.
g. After school activities will continue to have DECA, SECME, Chess, Dance, Basketball, NHS/NJHS, SGA
6. Title I Funds
a. 6009
i. Mater East Middle was awarded: $60,400 for the 18-19 school year.
ii. Committee reviewed the Title I Budget for the 18-19 school year. Committee suggested software funds be used to purchase the i-Ready program.
iii. Approved: Committee came to consensus that software funds will be used to purchase i-Ready.
iv. Approved: 6009 Title I Budget
b. 7037
i. Mater East High was awarded $119,200
ii. Committee reviewed the Title I budget for the 18-19 school year. Committee suggested professional and technical funds be used to partner with Leading and Learning and provide students with after school tutoring and academic coaching through out the school year.
iii. Approved: Committee came to consensus that professional and technical funds will be used to partner with Leading and Learning to provide students with after school tutoring and academic coaching.
iv. Approved: 7037 Title I Budget
7. Updates by EESAC members
a. SIP Phase I and II was reviewed and necessary changes were made.
i. 6009/7037 PFEP for the 18-19 school year were reviewed and completed.
ii. Approved: 6009 and 7037 PFEP for the 18-19 school year.
iii. Approved: SIP Phase I and II 6009 and 7037 for the 18-19 school year.
iv. Approved: SIP signature page for 6009 and 7037 were signed by all required members.
b. Roster was reviewed and approved by EESAC members.
c. Approved: Members came to a consensus that funds will be used to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
d. Approved: Members reviewed and approved By Laws
e. Approved: Members reviewed and approved Assurance Checklist
