1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Approved: Committee approved resignation of 6009 members: Fanny Chacon, Manuel Ramos, Giselle Vargas, Britney Lanza, Jonathan John, and Maribel Ramos.
Approved resignation of 7037 members: Julio Cabrera, Sussel Chavez, Lidia Chinchilla, Maribel Cordon, Michelle Detrinidad, Maria Gomez, Alba Nunez, Nicole Zaldivar, Amanda Taboada, Jonathan John.
Approved: Newly elected members: 6009: Mario Cisneros, Ana Lopez, Jeremy Montanez, Melanie Detrinidad, and Danny Estevez.
Newly elected for 7037: Mario Cisneros, Fanny Chacon, Ingrid Gomez, Manuel Ramos, Tirsa Fernandez, Antonia Vargas, Raquel Palma, Giselle Vargas-Escobar, Britney Lanza-Palma, and Danny Estevez.
3. Welcome to first EESAC meeting of the 19-20 school year.
4. Updates by Principal
a. Current Enrollment: 6009: 147 7037: 146
b. Early Intervention Tutoring Program: for qualifying students in grades six through eight and will begin on October 7th, 2019.
c. Hispanic Heritage Festival: October 15, 2019
d. MAE partners with the following organizations for the 2019-2020 school year:
i. American Airlines Arena
ii. Verizon
iii. Publix
iv. Leading & Learning
v. City of Miami Parks and Rec.
e. Open House scheduled for October 2nd, 2019
f. Lunch application Meetings being held on August 28th to assist parents in filling out their lunch application forms. Meetings were held at flexible times to accommodate everyone.
g. After school activities will continue to have DECA, SECME, Chess, Dance, Basketball, NHS/NJHS, SGA
5. Title I Funds
a. 6009
i. Mater East Middle was awarded: $78,750 for the 19-20 school year.
ii. Committee reviewed the Title I Budget for the 19-20 school year. Committee suggested software funds be used to purchase the i-Ready program.
iii. Approved: Committee came to consensus that software funds will be used to purchase i-Ready.
iv. Approved: 6009 Title I Budget
b. 7037
i. Mater East High was awarded $82,550
ii. Committee reviewed the Title I budget for the 19-20 school year. Committee suggested professional and technical funds be used to partner with Leading and Learning and provide students with after school tutoring and academic coaching throughout the school year.
iii. Approved: Committee came to consensus that professional and technical funds will be used to partner with Leading and Learning to provide students with after school tutoring and academic coaching.
iv. Approved: 7037 Title I Budget

b. Approved: Members came to a consensus that funds will be used to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
