Topics Covered:

I. Meeting Called to Order at 4:20 p.m. by Ms. Carlson-Yellen
II. School Dress Code Declaration for the 2011-2012 School Year. North Dade Middle School is already a Uniform School. All EESAC Members agree that there is no need to change what is already in place -- North Dade Middle School will remain a Uniform School.
III. School Improvement Plan Review: Ms. Brown
A. On Page 7 -- "L" capitalized for logical sequence.
B. On Page 8 -- 5%-19% (Add)"an increase of 14%"
C. GIZMO - Mr. Crawford is very pleased with these results. Each Benchmark is reinforced using a Virtual Lab Assignment. In Physical Science and Chemistry, there is an increase of 46-70% in correct answers.
D. There will be After School Tutoring for FCAT in March and April before FCAT. Depends on School Board Budget.
E. Cool Kids: Two hundred applicants. The District states who can participate.
IV. NDMS EESAC Bylaws: Ms. Carlson-Yellen passed out copies of the Bylaws for review to revise at the next meeting.
