Meeting was called to order at 8:09 a.m.
Prado welcomes Community Business Leaders and the student leader Jason Certain.
Principal's update - Ms. Prado
CCMS magnet Fair Tuesday, November 1st at 7 p.m.
Shomari Johnson was nominated for the Do the Right Thing award and will be honored Thursday, October 20th for mediating a situation between peers.
Y-fit with PE classes
Juega program ( University of Miami) - to reduce teen pregnancy
CCMS hydroponic garden Mrs. Spicer was awarded a grant through UTD for it.
Miami Dade College partnership
Anti-bullying program
Adopt a classroom for Christmas - Special Education class

Dual enrollment - have more students take high school credits in the summer.

Heras motioned to remove October 20th and December 22nd from the proposed dates.
Leon motioned to remove April 20th due to FSA. Proposed date replacement date April 6th. Unanimous vote in favor. Heras motioned to move the meeting to a morning at 8 am. Miyar second unanimous vote. Motion passed.
Heras motioned Miyar as EESAC chair Cannon second. The motion carried unanimously.
Heras motioned Stephen as secretary. Cannon second. The motion carried unanimously.

PSAT tomorrow (10/19/16) for 50 eighth graders - Algebra 1 students plus five additional kids. Mrs. Isla proctoring. Exposure to high-stakes testing for college-bound students

Jason declined.
Prado probed about uniform-permissible jackets and how students are responding.
Some students don't have the school logo on their jackets.
Prado expanded the uniform policy to include black hoodies.
Last year, only Red Jackets were permitted.
Prado gives Jason suggestions on what things he can talk about next meeting.

ESOL students going to Tallahassee, Florida Figueredo is working on that all expenses being paid

Prado wants field trip pack it in before Christmas break
