Mrs. Miyar welcomed attendees and initiated introductions.

Review of the minutes. Add Mrs. Leon to the roster. Mrs. Rodriguez motioned to approve the minutes. Leon seconded the motion. Minutes unanimously approved with corrections.
Business Community Representative will be Dr. Drubi. He was appointed by Mrs. Prado-Lima. Maria Garcia is no longer with the YMCA.

We're going to retest select students - ELA for i-Ready
They’ve regressed.
Excessive failure rate

Departments categorize their grades
Review IEPs for accommodations to make sure the grades are fair, consistent and ethical.
We currently have one teacher with a 25% failure rate in the first nine weeks
We are getting better
Teachers need to self-reflect
PTSA
We need a parent to be Treasurer and keep up with the deposits.
The awards ceremony and the 8th grade promotion ceremony will be coming soon. We need funds to pay for these events.
We currently have seventh grade Algebra and Physical Science. Next year, we will offer Geometry.
Security parameters are safe. Parents report things happening in the neighborhood. We can only control what happens within the gate. Security is here from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m... We avoid walkers going to the gas station. Maybe the PTSA can sponsor snack sales on campus. Safety campus campaign for walkers.

171 submitted applications.
We have three sections of Biomedical and Forensic Science.
Tonight is the dance show. 180 student performed at last year’s end of year show. Tonight, we have 79 performers and Spanish Lake Elementary dance team.

ELA, Math and intensive Reading Plus have already been conducted.
Chat will continue with the rest of the teachers.
Mrs. Villazon made it to the finals for AP of the year. She came in runner-up.

At the Holiday Expo, Biomedical, Culinary Art, and Forensics were featured. The forensic students explained about the blood cells. The dance team was great.
Student leaders lunch tomorrow - Wednesday

The Holiday Expo was a great event. It was a reunion with former teachers and classmates.
The amount of homework we're given is a good amount.
Mrs. Prado-Lima - We want to open the computer lab from 7:30 am to 8:30 am once a week. We are looking for a willing teacher.
Next meeting will be held Tuesday, January 30th, 2018. Miyar motioned the meeting be adjourned and Mr. Heras seconded the motion. Meeting adjourned at 9 a.m.
