Community
Miami-Dade College will have an Open house at the Meek Center in the near future.

Faculty and Staff
Ms Martin reported that on the 26th of November we would be handing out community donated turkeys and chicken for needy families from our community. Various school organizations have contributed canned goods. She requested student aid the day before in order to help pack the donations.

On December 10th the N. Miami Beach Greater Chamber of Commerce will be coming to NMB. We are preparing a video to show what our students are working and to promote our students and create Internships for students. Mr. Luzardo is producing a promotional video for CTE. Chedeline Apollon volunteered to be the spokesperson for the students.

Administration
Mr. Milliken discussed the need to advertise what the schools are doing. Principals have offered suggestions for doing this, and incorporate our video concept discussed by Faculty.

ABC boundary committee was discussed.

Mr. Milliken spoke on the collaboration between our school and Miami-Dade College.

Homecoming took place for the first time in the gym and it was a great, well organized event. Students were on their best behavior. It was earlier and less expensive. Therefore, attendance more than doubled what we traditionally get.

Testing is currently occurring. Mr. Milliken appealed to teachers and students to do the best they could and to maintain our school’s grade.

We had CDW and Discovery give us a $40k gift of tablets and all 9th graders were given tablets through Social Studies. Two laptop carts, and a printer. They also provided training to students and teachers, along with lunch.
Ms. Liane Harris was the one who applied to the contest originally. Thanks to her we have over $40k in equipment and additional training.
