Minutes
Meeting called to order at 3:14pm by the Chair. Mr. Montalvan welcomed everyone to the meeting. Stressed the importance of being on time. Apologized for having to postpone meeting and moved forward with the agenda
Approval of the minutes
• No Corrections needed
Mr. Montalvan motioned to accept the minutes as written; seconded by Mr. Milliken. Minutes have been approved.

EESAC Budget - Remaining Balance $14,379.44
Title I – Ms. Balsano
CIS Person- Mrs. Joann Bassan
o Helps with home visits, meeting with parents, etc.
Parent Resource/ Wellness room is open daily
Lunch Application -100 kids have yet to apply
o We are calling kids so we can get as many kids benefitting from this program
Tutoring has begun.
Funding Request- Helping Headphones – Mr. Torres
• Requested Headphones for Testing
• Asked for $830
• Ms. Stovall asked for why proposal stated a quantity of 1000, but the quote said 600.
o Torres: When I spoke to vendor, they said it was possible the price could be less than $0.83 per headset but not more.
• Conversation ensued about possibly increasing the number of headphones being requested.
• Dr. Davis motioned to double the number of headphones.
o Mr. Montalvan: If we double the amount, the request is now for $1660.
o Mr. Bernabe second the motion.
• The request for $1660 for Mr. Torres’ project has passed unanimously.
• Mrs. Martin motioned to change the amount to $1700. Mr. Milliken second the motion.
• Congratulations Mr. Torres your request has been approved for $1700.
o EESAC balance after approval of this request is $12,679.44
Review of and Approval of SIP Implementation Steps – Mr. Ridore and Mrs. Montez
• Mrs. Montez: We met several times, looked at the data, tried to triangulate the data, and for the most part the data shows what we are doing is working so we want to recommit and double down on what we are doing.
• Mr. Montalvan asked for clarification on Tech Tuesday initiative.
• Ms. Stovall asked for clarification on the wording in the collaborative planning implementation step.
• Ms. Stovall motioned to accept the SIP as written. Mrs. Martin second the motion.
• SIP approved Unanimously.
Reports and Updates
Students
Homecoming
Clubs have worked on Black History Décor
Ms. Stovall’s students (special need population) are working on Valentine’s Day Project. Pictures and videos to come in upcoming morning announcement.
o Mr. Milliken encouraged Ms. Stovall to get media release forms so we can post pictures on school website.
PTSA and Parents –
• Mr. Bernabe asked about the upcoming Graduation. (see below for answer by Mr. Milliken)

Dates have been chosen for graduation.
Trying to plan for a live graduation.
o Currently we have more questions than answers.
o Even if there is a live event we don’t know how many will attend due to pandemic.
Impact Review
o Teachers continue to make me proud of the work that they do for our students
o APs will debrief with the teachers that were observed.
o For the most part they were very happy with checks for understanding and engagement.
Testing/Graduation Requirements
o Mr. Milliken will be going through Social Studies classes to reemphasize and get the point across that Testing is important; that it will continue to be a requirement for graduation.
Community- Mylinda Auguste
We are still enrolling 9th and 10 grade students for Upward Bound. 11th and 12th are at full capacity.
Upward bound is a college preparation program.

Mr. Montalvan wanted to encourage teacher to take advantage of the certification exams offered by the District. Great Opportunity!
