This meeting was called to order at 2:58 p.m.

1. The minutes of the last meeting were approved.
2. Wendi Werther asked why we were paying for newspapers for the reading program. Milagros Maytin-Miret responded that we will get free newspapers starting in January, but right now The Miami Herald is not honoring the promise they made to us last year. The current price is 17 cents per copy.
3. The committee got a final copy of the SPEP. It still needs to be verified by the District. Every staff member will get a copy once it is approved.
4. Mr. Fontana suggested that the committee members look at the by-laws individually and bring them for review at the next meeting.
5. Dr. Debra Warren moved that $4,033 be spent on a 52” Concert Petrof piano. Carlos Sardinas second the motion. It was approved unanimously. Mr. Fontana will match the amount.
6. Lourdes Mixco moved that the committee recommend to the student body to dress professionally every Monday in an effort to reduce the number of students seeking to come to school in violation of the dress code. Patty Stauffer seconded the motion. Mr. Fontana will come on the announcements this coming Monday will the SGA and class presidents to explain this o the student body.
