Minutes
Meeting was called to order by Mr.Gedeon 3:01pm. He welcomed everyone to the meeting, and those in attendance to introduce themselves.

Motion to Approval of the minutes from December after correcting Ms. Martin’s position by Ms. Martin and seconded by Devine Saint Louis.


EESAC Budget - Remaining Balance $5,136.02

Budget still reflects the previous balance because some items have not been deducted from account. Total reflected in account $17,981.97.

Milliken will follow up to ensure accounts are accurate. Clubs need to complete request.

No Funding Request have been submitted this time.

Review/Approval of School Improvement Plan (SIP) Phase I & II-Mr. Billy Ridore, AP and Mrs. Fray
Mrs. Fray broke down the purpose and components of the SIP to students
Four areas of focus
Leadership Feedback- Prioritizing admin walk throughs. Focus more on elective class to build consistency and high expectations across curriculum
Culture and environment- Building teacher morale, implementing weekly positive motivation statements schoolwide. And give teachers and staff opportunities to be apart of academic and
Instructional practices fore ELA- MYA Data will be used to build teacher led and small group instruction and interventions
Math- Gains are good in geometry and algebra compared to 2019-2020. Will continue to use engagement tools, technology, code calling, students working together.
Questions:

Are surveys monitored based on number of completion?- Yes, we monitor, this is a living document
Are surveys anonymous? – Yes
If a teacher does not complete a survey, how is that going to be measured? What does it look like? We will only go by the number of other surveys received.
If no one completes survey, what will happen- We will then need to reflect on how to collect data for the next time.

Update language to include specific measurable goals based on percentage of teachers participating in survey and frequency of surveys to be Quarterly.

-Planning a Live in Color
Wear 1 color from head to day to create a rainbow during lunch times. Open to everyone
NMB Band (Andre )
- Recruiting still. Numbers are low but they are still moving forward.
- Feb 26th Solo and Ensemble ratings
- Choir working on Black History Show
- MLK Parade went well
- Encourage others others join.
Title I (Mrs. Fray)
PTSA
- Explained what PTSA is and benefits.
- Currently 13 Community members and 10 NMB representatives
- $5 membership fee
- Encourage students and parents to joi
FIU College Impact (Wedmison Mesime)

- Students attend twice a week to receive tutoring and SAT Prep
- Field trip taking place Jan 28th on FIU North Campus. Students will be participating in Black History activities.
- Scholarships are available for FIU
- Snacks are provided after-school

ONEM Aventura Marketing council found a donor to donate instruments to the school

Administration
 Milliken suggested going over to the feeder pattern school JFK to advertise the different after school programs like band, cheer, dance etc. Usually a good turn out
 Instructional review will be next Friday. Feb 4th
 Datacom with new Superintendent will be Feb 23rd. Will be receiving a protocol of specified questions and will report back to faculty.
 Welcome new school board member Dr. Steve Gallon.
 Athletics- Winter sports are ending. We are starting Spring sports. Still have an opportunity to get involved
 Senior breakfast took place. About 80 kids enjoyed themselves at the Rusty Pelican
 Passing of Mr. Dunning. Former ESE and coach here at NMB

UTD – Dr. Davis
 General election will take place in February 21 tentatively.
 Election will be ran by Stovall as Davis is on the ballot.

Next meeting will take place tentatively February 28th @ 2:45pm in room 710.
