Review of prior Minutes

Mr. Gedeon will postpone review of meeting minutes for next meeting

Ms. Martin

“We need to create an election for positions officer positions for EESAC. Every year we need to reelect a chair of vice chair and a secretary. This position can be held by anyone in this room. So I've like to start the nomination process. I'd like to nominate Mr. Gideon to be our chair this year. Do you accept the nomination? nomination and we have a second. Is there anyone else in the room that would like to run for chair? We're fine completely alright. We need to nominate a vice chair. That would be the position I'm currently holding.”

Mr. Gedeon “I would like to nominate Ms. Martin”

Ms. Stoval nominated Mr. Gedeon accepts nomination who was unopposed

Mr. Gedeon nominates Ms. Martin who was unopposed

Ms. Martin nominates Mr. Burger who was unopposed

Parent is concerned with timing of invitations to the EESAC meetings and requests for a notification 5 days before the next EESAC meeting

Veronica Martin

“Thank you very much. We're going to rectify that this year. Again, this is this is an area that the board the entire board will take responsibility and we apologize. “

Administration

Ms. Celestine

“I have a question. About the bylaws. Are you revamping them?”

Mr. Gedeon

“So make sure you're adding so I'm going to send out the bylaw to get in a financial report. We have time to review it and then we'll present it at the next board meeting.”

SIP

Ms. Fray

“We can't go over it until the next meeting because I have to wait for it to be reviewed by the district. And that process is going to happen next week of April the ninth and so our next meeting is when I can discuss this.”

Mr. Gedeon: request Ms. Fray to invite PTSA members for next EESAC meeting

“So with Item C in the window, the last two there are some names that I'm going to remove from our list aligned so that's why we had the election. There is couple of names of people that's not on there. We'll move on and then add Mr. Burger and anything I didn't change. I'll do that and then I'll update the roster for EESAC.”

Ms. Martin

“funding request, this organization has money that we decide what we're going to do with that particular those particular funds. is decided by the parents PTSA member, students, teachers and administration. We all have a say in that particular fund. It's important to put bring in your requests.  For example, you may want to paint a wall need money for a mural do something it's put on a request form and you have an opportunity to explain why you think this is needed. The funds have to benefit school, the entire school. It's not an organization where I need a bus to take us to a drama meet. That's not what this money is for. It has to benefit the entire school. And we'd normally like to know when you come here the following month, the date of the meeting, and you have exactly one week before the date of the meeting to submit. That's the final date to submit your requests you're placed on the agenda and then you your sponsor whoever is interested in in helping do something for the school will represent.”

Mr. Gedeon

In addition, you when we tell you it's okay to present the after you submit your request. You also make the copies for the meeting, which is about 20 copies for each person when you present and so everybody have a copy for two and then we see ourselves and the decision if we're going to approve or disapprove of you, your request.

Title 1

Ms. Fray: “We are a title 1 school. We are funded from socio economic standards with free and reduced lunch based on the amount of students we have on free and reduced lunch. It's very important that we try to have a lot of parent engagement, parents support and that's what we need to build on because last year, we didn't have enough parent engagement. So those of you who are seniors, make sure your parents come out.”

“We also have what we call the PFEP, which is the parent family engagement plan. And that's all part of trying to get parents more involved in the whole student engagement.”

“This year, one of my big things is going to be attendance and mental health not just for mental health of students, but mental health, the teachers that some of these teachers that are sitting here can tell you that we had a times it felt a little bit controversial, but there was a reason I had it.
