SIP review
The SIP guides instructional focus, culture, and admin goals
4 areas of focus: standard aligned instruction, ESSA subgroup related to ELL students, positive culture and environment relating to PD, Transitional leadership relating to specific teacher walkthroughs
• Teachers will make adjustments to their instructional plans and lessons during content planning to ensure they are aligned to the achievement level descriptors and standards.
• And we found that last year, the staff disagreed that the Professional Learning Support Team promoted school culture and collaboration so the goal is we selected this area of focus because professional development is essential to continuous teacher growth and development, which will have a positive impact on student achievement.
• Right now in curriculum Council, we've been focusing on our school wide initiative, which has been a focus on vocabulary instruction schoolwide. And our professional development team is also working in conjunction with department chairs, to make sure that we have professional development throughout the school year.
• Curriculum council focus for the year will be on a on cross curriculums vocabulary initiative.

Mr. Milliken Walk through’s and debriefs for elective classes
• “So we brought a group of people and I said, I need to get into more of the elective classes and make sure that everybody is carrying a load not just everybody is getting some, some type of feedback and observations from the administrative team and make sure that everybody is carrying a load not just everybody is getting some, some type of feedback and observations from the administrative team. So I've committed to doing that myself.”
• “So after I have finished an observation, they come by my office at their leisure, and we sit down, we talk about what I saw, and I give them my observation for saying, or this is what I wrote down.”

Motion to accept the sip was accepted.
