Ms. Fray is updating the SIP with feedback from the Impact Review

V. Alternate supplement model, block schedule, and SSRI – Mr. Milliken 

Alternate supplement model

Mr. Milliken explains the purpose of the model.

“So there are certain ones like there's one for coaching baseball, there's one for if a teacher teaches an extra period is one for a club. Now there is not one for detention. If we want to have a detention, which we use at our school as for kids who are tardy, and then we turn detention into a tutoring program.”

Block scheduling

Mr. Milliken explains the purpose of the Block scheduling system

” the other one is block scheduling, block scheduling, which you guys are pretty familiar with and it's you know, the idea that you don't have all your classes on one day, you have an audit and an even day. We vote on that as a faculty. We go over the pros and cons of that. And we decide if that is something that we want to do.”

5000 Role Models participated in the Wilson scholar where they awarded one of our students a scholarship they participated in the black history program at North Miami Beach Senior High School in North Miami Beach City Hall.
