I. Agenda

II. Call to Order
*Ms. Diaz called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on May 21, 2015, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).
III. Roll Call
*Diaz, Felicia, Martinez, Maria, Feiler, Mylene, Bez, Lilliam, Lugo, Maria, Ferrante, Rosario, Medina, Yuli, and Weiner, Jeff
IV. Approval of Minutes from March 5, 2015
*Ms. Feiler made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. Bez seconded the motion.
* Minutes from, March 5, 2015 were approved by all members.
V. School Improvement Plan 2014-2015 Review and Updates
*Copies are available from Mr. Perez upon request.
*There will be a summer review of the SIP for improvements. Various ISPA teachers
will be attending the meeting along with our administration.
*CELLA Results will be published tomorrow. There will be a new criteria for exiting the
program. More information will be forthcoming in the following months.
*Our school was chosen for two field tests in the areas of Chemistry and World History. Tests will take place next week.
VI. End of the Year Activities for 2015
*Graduation is scheduled for May 27, 2015.
*The Spain is Different event is scheduled for June 1st.
*There is a field trip to Area Stage on June 2nd.
*The Underclassmen Awards Ceremony is scheduled for June 3rd in the evening.
*The Busch Gardens class trip is scheduled for 5/29, and the EPCOT class trip is scheduled for 5/22.
*Ms. Martinez will be hosting a Young Leaders Conference from 6/8-6/12.
VI. Graduation/Spain is Different/Awards Ceremony
*All is planned for the graduation ceremony; everyone is very excited to attend.
*Mr. Alvarez is organizing our Annual Spain is Different Activity where groups of
students compete in different areas. An email with teacher assignments for the event was
sent to teachers.
*All is ready for the upcoming Award’s Ceremony. All awards, medals, and certificates
are ready for distribution.
VII. PTSA Update
*The PTSA was very pleased with Teacher Appreciation Week. All teachers were very grateful for the multitude of gifts and activities that they planned including an event at Town and the gift bags that were distributed.
*The PTSA was also able to recruit members of the 2019 class during the 9th Grade Orientation Ceremony. Everyone was pleased with the great turn out of parents and students.
IX. New Business
*Ms. Diaz will be filling out the End of Year Assurances form.
*All members expressed their well wishes for the summer and upcoming school year.
X. Adjournment
*Ms. Lugo moved to adjourn the meeting, and Ms. Bez seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
