II. Call to Order
*Mr. Perez called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30 p.m. on March 3, 2016 at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).
III. Roll Call

IV. Approval of Minutes from January 21, 2016
*Ms. Bez made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. Feiler seconded the motion.
* Minutes from, January 21, 2016, were approved by all members.
V. School Improvement Plan 2015-2016
*Copies are available from Mr. Perez upon request.
*The SIP is in the process of being approved by the state.
VI. Mid-Year Review/Discussion
* All goals are on target and progress is being monitored.
VII. End of Year Activities Discussion
*ISPA’s Annual Olympics will take place on February 11, March 15, March 22, and May 20th. The PTA will pay for the park fees. The underclassmen will have their fieldtrip at Dante Fascell Park.
*Testing is currently taking pace, and it will continue through May 13, 2016. All FSA, EOC’s, and A.P. exams will conclude on that date.
*A Holocaust Fieldtrip will take place this month.
*The following activities have been planned for Seniors: Senior Picnic, college Signing Day, Grad Bash(4/29/2016), Prom at the Coral Gables Hyatt (Great Gatsby Theme), and Graduation. Graduation will take place at the Adrienne Arsch Center on 6/8/2016, at 7:30 p.m.

VII. Secondary School Reform Initiative (SSRI)
*The SSRI pertains to promoting an 8 period schedule across the county. An 8 period schedule is more beneficial to students because they are able to take more classes in a four year period giving them more electives and time to make up any course in which they have not done well.
*ISPA has had an 8 period schedule since its inception, and it has worked well to date. All members voted and agreed to keep the 8 period schedule and block schedule as current.
IX. PTSA Update
* PTSA has new monthly newsletter and a website. The website has a section where community members can donate to the PTSA.
*The year Gala held at the French Consul’s residence was a great success. The PTSA collected approximately $15,000 in profits in just one evening. Mr. Perez expressed his gratitude to the EESAC for an active and effective PTSA.
*This year the PTSA will be selecting/voting on a new board due to the fact that many of the members are the parents of seniors.
X. New Business
*The enrollment period for next year has officially ended. Applicants will receive their letters of notification after Spring Break.
*Kassandra and Diego shared that the Student Government Association has opened an email for the student body to share their thoughts directly with them. The email is sga.ispa@gmail.com .
*Mr. Perez mentioned that he is speaking with agents to organize next year’s trip to France and Italy.
*Members and Staff are encouraged to join the Superintendent’s 5K which will benefit our local schools including ISPA.
*Ms. Diaz moved to adjourn the meeting, and Ms. Alamo seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 p.m.
