II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on April 4, 2019, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).

IV. Approval of Minutes from February 13, 2019
- Mrs. Feiler made a motion to approve the minutes, and Mr. Feiler seconded the motion.
- Minutes from February 13, 2019 were approved unanimously.

V. School Improvement Plan 2018-2019
- SIP was reviewed and no updates required at this time.



VI. EESAC Budget
- EESAC Budget has a balance of $5,000.
- Ms. Alamo presented to EESAC that there was a need for funds to pay for the following:
- End of Year Awards Ceremony Venue - $750
- End of Year Awards - Estimate of $928
- Silver Knight Awards - Estimate of $170
- Class Officer/Capstone/Special Awards - Estimate of $350
- Awards Ceremony Invitations - Estimate of $100
- Student Agendas - Estimate of $2,000
- It was suggested that students be surveyed for their preference of agenda size.
- Mr. Feiler made a motion to approve funds to be used for the End of Year Ceremony Venue, End of Year Awards and Invitations, and Student Agendas. Ms. Harris second the motion.
- Motion to use funds for the above mentioned unanimously approved.
- Use of the remaining balance will be discussed in the May meeting.

VII. End of Year Activities – Graduation, Events
- Graduation will be on May 30, 2018 at 10:00 AM.
- Venue is the same as last year, Adrienne Arsht Center.
- Students will receive, on average, 7 to 8 tickets for event.
- Italian, French, and Spanish Consulates will attend.
- Grad Bash for Seniors is this Friday, April 5, 2019.
- End of Year Awards ceremony will be held at the UM Shalala Center on Wednesday, May 6, 2019.
- College Signing Day is on Thursday, May 16, 2019.
- Prom is Friday, May 3, 2019 at the Colonnade Hotel.
- Student Orientation for incoming Freshman is on Wednesday, May 22, 2019.
- End-of-Year Music show is April 11, 2019 at 6 PM at Ponce De Leon Middle School.

VIII. General Information
- Testing has begun with the FSA ELA Writing exam.
- All other exams begin on Wednesday, May 1, 2019.
- AP Exams begin on Monday, May 6, 2019.
- In-house Algebra 1 intervention will begin to support students in preparation of the Algebra 1 EOC.
- ISPA was selected for Colegio del Año. On April 17th ISPA will be presented with a proclamation by the School Board.
- Certification for Magnet Schools was finalized.
- Currently ISPA has 70 in-coming 9th graders that have signed to attend.

IX. PTSA Update
- The Color Fun Run is April 18th at Coral Gables Senior High School.
- Only students with $25 or more in monetary donations will be allowed to participate.
- The class that raises the most funds will receive a prize.
- The PTSA Annual Cocktail Fundraiser will be on April 26th at the Coral Gables Country Club.
- Parents can pay via check, cash, or online through website.
- This year the Cocktail will have a Master’s of Ceremony and performances by ISPA students.




X. New Business
- At the previous EESAC meeting, it was discussed that the minimum amount of volunteer hours needed should be increased from 100 to 200.
- Ignacio Olmos made a motion to increase the number of volunteer hours needed to graduate from 100 to 200. Sophia Jarjour second the motion.
-Motion was approved unanimously.

XI. Adjournment
- Mrs. Feiler moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Feiler seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:20pm.
