II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, EESAC Chairperson, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on September 9, 2019, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).

IV. Approval of Minutes from May 16, 2019
- An error in attendance was noted. Parent, Luisa Bautte was present. The attendance will be corrected in record of minutes.
- Ms. Feiler made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. Harrison seconded the motion.
- Minutes from May 16, 2019 were approved unanimously.

V. Opening of Schools Update
- Smooth Opening of School
- All schedule changes were complete by the end of the week one.
- Parents, teachers, and students were very patient while changes were made.
- Added to the schedule this year were several elective courses, include and on-site Dual Enrollment Chemistry course.
- ISPA will have Sgt. Rojas from Miami-Dade School Police on site daily from 7 AM – 3 PM.
- Sgt. Rojas will monitor the entrance, patrol the hallways, direct traffic during dismissal, and assist with emergency drills.
- ISPA is using the on-line payment system this year for all payments. Going well thus far.

VI. School Improvement Plan 2018-2019 / EESAC By-Laws/Revisions
- Areas of focus: promoting growth mindset, communication with stakeholders, data driven instruction and ongoing progress monitoring.
- School Improvement Plan Phase 1 & Phase 2 was emailed to EESAC members by Dr. Blanco.
- Ms. Bautte made a motion to approve the SIP, and Ms. Feiler seconded the motion.
- SIP 2019-2020 was approved unanimously.
- No by-laws revisions needed at this time
- Dr. Blanco will verify EESAC Roster
- 2019-2020 Assurance Checklist & SIP Signature Page were completed, signed by appropriate individuals and will be submitted to district.

VII. 2019-2020 EESAC Funds Allocation Requests
- EESAC currently has $3,792.51 in funds.
- Ms. Feiler moved that EESAC funds of $1,800.00 be used once again for student activities such as, but not limited to, the Honor Roll Ice Cream and other Activities, The NHS Induction, Junior Ring Ceremony, End of Year Awards, ISPA’s World Cup and other activities to recognize students of ISPA for attendance/tardy incentives or academic achievement; Ms. Harrison seconded the motion.
- Motion was approved unanimously.

VIII. Open House – September 25, 2019
- Currently, administration is working on the agenda for the evening. It will be similar to last year’s.
- PTSA will have an event beforehand, which will include a PTSA membership drive.

IX. PTSA Update
- The first PTSA meeting of the year will be on September 11, 2019 at 7:30 AM.
- PTSA is working on building its membership and on activities for the year.
- Faculty and Staff membership is higher than last year, however can still be increased.
- Seniors must sign-up to be PTSA members by September 30, 2019 to be considered for PTSA scholarship.
- Annual Cocktail fundraiser will be on March 6, 2020.
- Annual Color Run is tentatively scheduled for February 28, 2020.
- The Harvest Fest will be held sometime in November 2019.
- PTSA is asking students for ideas to build the PTSA Spirit Store.

X. New Business
- The College Tour will be November 20 – 22, 2019.
- Payments will begin soon, on-line. There is a waiting list for students to attend.
- There will be a Music Production Club this year.
- Students have shown interest in a Glee Club as well as a Drama Club.

IX. Adjournment
- Ms. Pascal moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Feiler seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:20pm.
