II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, EESAC Chairperson, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on September 20, 2023, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA) in the Media Center and via Zoom Meeting.

IV. Approval of Minutes from May 9, 2023
- Mr. Taracido made a motion to approve the minutes, and Ms. De La Cruz seconded the motion.
- Minutes from May 9, 2023, were approved unanimously.

V. Introduction of New Parent/Teacher Members
- Ms. Navarro is our new Assistant Principal.
- New student members are: Andres Rodriguez (senior), Viera Harriell (senior), and David Padilla (junior).
- New parent members are: Maria Gemma Martinez and Eliana Romano
- New teacher member is: Beatriz Lancis

Opening of Schools Update
- Student enrollment is currently 375 students.
- Testing has already started. 9th and 10th grade students did the FAST Reading PM 1.
- Students pending graduation requirement assessments are currently taking them.

VI. Safety & Security
- New safety & security protocols will be put in place soon.
- Initiative is called Safety Response Protocol (SRP).
- Staff will be trained next week during faculty meeting (September 27, 2023). Students will be trained after.

VII. School Improvement Plan 2023-2024 / EESAC Bylaws/Revisions
- Areas of focus: Instructional Practice relating to Intervention (ELA), Instructional Practice relating to Instructional Coaching/Professional Learning, Positive Culture and Environment relating to Early Warning System (Attendance), and Instructional Practice relating to Benchmark-aligned Instruction (AP Eng Lang).
- School Improvement Plan Phase 1 & Phase 2 was presented to EESAC members by Ms. Alamo at the meeting.
- Ms. Ledo made a motion to approve the SIP, and Ms. Lancis seconded the motion.
- SIP 2023-2024 was approved unanimously.
- The bylaws were reviewed and no revisions are needed at this time.
- No composition waiver requests needed at this time.
- Ms. Alamo will verify EESAC Roster.
- 2023-2024 SIP Signature Page will be completed, signed by appropriate individuals, and submitted to district.

VIII. EESAC Budge
- EESAC Funds will not be allocated to schools this year.

IX. Open House Overview
- Open House was a success.
- Many parents attended.
- Student volunteers assisted parents throughout the evening.

X. PTSA Update
- PTSA is actively recruiting members and find new ways to raise funds.
- The PTSA store has been a great success this year. More uniforms needed to be ordered.

XI. New Business
- Mr. Rodriguez brought up the idea to have PTSA sell club sweaters as fundraiser. It gives students more options in their uniform.
- Mr. Padilla agreed with Mr. Rodriguez that students were wanting more options of sweaters.

XII. Adjournment
- Ms. Navarro moved to adjourn the meeting and Ms. De La Cruz seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:30 pm.
