II. Call to Order
Ms. Ana Alamo, EESCA Chairperson, called the EESAC Committee meeting to order at 2:30pm on November 29, 2023, at International Studies Preparatory Academy at Gables (ISPA).

IV. Approval of Minutes from September 20, 2023
- Mr. Taracido made a motion to approve the minutes, and Mr. Rodriguez seconded the motion.
- Minutes from September 20, 2023, were approved unanimously.

V. Florida Recognition Distribution Plan/Discussion
- Faculty will be presented with both Plan A and Plan B at the next faculty meeting on December 6, 2023.
- The estimated plans are below.

- The floor was opened for any other plans to be presented. No other plans were presented.
- Mr. Taracido moved to approve the plan voted on by the faculty, and Ms. Lancis seconded the motion.
- EESAC unanimously approves whichever plan is voted on by the faculty.

VI. School Improvement Plan 2023-2024 & SIP DATA Talks
- Data chats have been had with accountability groups.
- We are doing Topic, Mini, and Quarterly assessments in Math, Science, and Social Studies to monitor progress. The first Progress Monitoring assessment was administered to the Reading students. The second Progress Monitoring assessment will be administered in December, before the Winter Brak. Mid-Year Assessments for Math, Science, and Social Studies will be conducted after the Winter Break.
- Intervention is mostly done through tutoring. Afterschool program began on November 1st.
- Administrative Walkthroughs will be ongoing, as well as data chats with teachers.
- Cross curricular planning has already taken place and will continue to be an area of focus for the school year.

VII. Attendance Boundary Committee (ABC)
- School Boundary Committee: Dr. Blanco explained that as a magnet school the boundaries do not apply to ISPA, however the appropriate representatives convened to sign necessary documents.

VIII. EESAC Budget
- We have a total of $5381.00 in funds available.
- It was proposed that $1528.02 be moved to internal funds. These funds will be used for student incentives.
- It was proposed that the remaining $3852.98 be used to purchase Spanish textbooks for the Spanish IS Program.
- Ms. B. Sanchez made a motion to use the funds as proposed. Ms. Lancis seconded the motion. Motion was unanimously approved.

IX. Recruitment Update
- ISPA will host middle school students on December 6 and 7, where students will be “Phoenix For a Day.”
- Students will tour the school, be given a presentation by faculty and students, and given lunch.
- Participating schools are: Ada Merrit K-8 Center, Shenandoah Middle School, Coral Way K-8 Center and GW Carver Middle School.

X. PTSA Update
- No PTSA updates were given.

XI. New Business
- Dr. Blanco presented EESAC with the information on a new form (Form 2424) that will be needed in order for students to participate in any school-sponsored activities, events, and supplemental programs.
- All tutoring and club meetings have been suspended until December 11, 2023, while a plan is put in place to collect all forms.

XII. Adjournment
- Mr. Rodriguez moved to adjourn the meeting and Mr. Taracido seconded the motion. The meeting was adjourned at 3:20pm.
