There will be a parent involvement night at Booker T. Washington senior high school on May 17, 2003.
Mr. Haj: There is additional funding for the custodial staff.
Mrs. Wentworth: There are currently 2 electronic grade books. The electronic grade books can be downloaded to the system. Parents will also be able to have certain access
to the grade books. Software needs to be bought to make this happen. We need to send the signal to the portables, buy information server, buy Excelsior Grade Book, buy Attendance Manager, Internet Viewer and Principal Viewer. The computers in the media center, A wing and D wing can be used. The county is providing funds to wire the school with an in house e-mail system. The school needs about 100 new computers. Mrs. Mathews will survey the staff in order to get their opinion on the in house e-mail system. The results will be shared by Mrs. Williams on the following meeting.

Mrs. Cox: 40% of students scored on level 4 on the writing, reading and math part of the FCAT. 82% of tenth graders passed the FCAT. The testing homerooms will distribute the scores to students. Seniors who did not pass the FCAT will be able to attend graduating ceremonies. Seniors will be able to attend school for a 13th year and will retake the FCAT one week after school ends.
