Verified EESAC Meeting Minutes

Welcome

Approval of previous minutes.

Principal's Message, Mrs. I. Artime.
- Students enrolled in Physical Science are testing today.
- Students enrolled in Biology will test tomorrow.
- Next week, students will be returning their school-issued devices - May 26 (grade 6); May 27 (grade 7), May 28 (grade 8).
- Yearbooks will be distributed next week - May 26 (grade 8), May 27 (grade 7), May 28 (grade 6).
- PTSA will host a Mother's Day event on May 26; PTSA general meeting will convene after the Mother's Day event.
- Students in the Italian program will be visiting the Freedom Tower (fieldtrip).
- Field Day is scheduled for May 28 (details to follow).
- 95 percent proficiency on assessments administered thus far; not including Advance Placement (AP) exams.

School Improvement Process (monitoring, implementation, review, etc.), Mr. S. Rivers, Assistant Principal.
- Mr. Rivers discussed the 2025-2026 End-of-Year (EOY) Review and Reflection, Phase VII of the School Improvement Process (SIP).
- Mr. Rivers shared the EOY findings. The Strengths and Opportunities for Improvement for each of the Areas of Focus were shared.
- The Measurable Outcome for each Area of Focus was also discussed; we met the Intended Outcome for Science.
- Although me did not meet the Intended Outcome for Math, improvements were noted.
- The Measurable Outcome for Cleanliness and Discipline will be determined after the results of the School Climate Survey have been disaggregated.

Old/New business
- Mr. Rivers informed the committee that the School Climate Survey window has been extended to May 29, 2026.
- Mr. Rivers discussed the EESAC by-laws; shared with the committee for review.
Announcements/Open Forum.
- Young Alum reunion is scheduled for June 03, 2026 at 2:00 pm

Mrs. M. Vinat, UTD Steward.
- Ms. Vinat gave an update regarding the Union (UTD) recertification process
- She also spoke briefly about the referendum
- Shared information regarding the District's decline in enrollment.
