The meeting was called to order at 1:13 p.m.
Minutes from the May 14, 2008 meeting were approved with no changes.
OLD BUSINESS: Mrs. Starling informed us that of those students who took the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) examination on May 22, 2008 100% passed.
Members present applauded her for her laudatory efforts with the HOSA students.
NEW BUSINESS: Mrs. King introduced the new Principal, Mrs. Karen Webb.
Mrs. Ames presented an Appreciation Award to Mrs. King on behalf of all EESAC members.
Mrs. King shared with the members the status of our school. The school has been designated as a School in Need of Improvement (SINI) because we’re a Title I school (NCLB). We will see a rough draft of the SIP today. The draft is due to the District by August 20, 2008.
Mrs. Ames and Mrs. Webb reviewed the SIP aloud. They will obtain the required signatures necessary for the SIP.
The next meeting will be September 10, 2008 at 4:10 p.m. in the Media Center.
