Meeting was called to order at 8:21 a.m.

The minutes from the meeting of March 18, 2009 was approved with no changes.

OLD BUSINESS: A discussion was held on the status of the preparations for the 2009 Senior Dinner to be held on May 20, 2009.

NEW BUSINESS: Those persons in attendance reviewed the School Improvement Plan.
Math – 50% of the retakes passed. Reading – 271 retakes – overall 20% did okay on the FCAT.

Mrs. Webb suggested that we do fewer strategies on math next year.

Science – we will keep all the strategies except #3 for next year.
Parental Involvement – we will keep the same strategies for next year.
Return on Investment – we will keep all the strategies for next year. We may want to look into the Box Tops for Education program. We want to keep the Communities in Schools tutoring.
Reading Strategies – we currently have 18 strategies. Ms. Cash said we need to review them. It was decided that we will modify those strategies based on the State and District mandates.
Math – we will keep selected strategies (1, 3, 4, 10, 11, 12, and 13).

Mrs. Webb said she didn’t know if this school will be graded or not next year.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:59 a.m.
