The meeting was called to order at 7:10 p.m. by Sandra Ames in the cafeteria of Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center.
Student Government Association President Alyssa Gutierrez welcomed those present and introduced the Student Government Association members for the 2009-2010 school year. She also introduced the names of the COPE clubs. She then introduced Mrs. Karen Webb.
Mrs. Webb introduced the Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center faculty and staff. She then asked for any parents that were willing to be parent representatives volunteers for our Title 1 program.
Ms. Bernardette Hurtte-Reid and Ms. Sheila Vicks volunteered.
Ms. Sandra Ames then spoke on behalf of the EESAC at Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center. She asked for parent volunteers. The following parents volunteered: Ms. Maria Fakier, Ms. Patricia Baugh and Ms. Marie Meeks.
Ms. Constance Gilbert next spoke about the Parent Resource Center at COPE. She invited those parents present to drop in and use COPE’s resources whenever they could.
Drawings were held and winners received either a teddy bear or a book bag. There were eight winners.
After the drawings, visitors were released to go to the classrooms for visits with the teachers. The classroom visits ended at 8:34 p.m.
