Topics Covered

The meeting was called to order at 8:19 a.m. by Sandra Ames in the Media Center of Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center.

The minutes from April 15, 2010 were read and approved with no changes.
Old Business:

Ms. Bradman said the End of Year baseline scores in Reading don’t look too good. There has been some regression. The students who took the FAIR aren’t doing well either. Only the Level 1 and 2 students take the FAIR.

New Business:

The IPEGS followed the attendance of 79 students. Twenty-five students were dropped. There was a decrease in the number of unexcused absences for the year compared to the previous school year. An overall improvement in attendance was noted.

Mrs. Webb stated that next school year we need to take a harder look at the number of repeat pregnancies. We need to have classes every nine weeks for students regarding repeat pregnancies. In addition, we need to look at next year’s curriculum to see what may be included regarding this subject. Perhaps we may be able to include some things from the Morningstar Curriculum to tie into our school curriculum (ex. “It Happened to Nancy).

Mrs. Webb informed us that we would have a DA Senior High visitation on May 19, 2010.

Members of the EESAC reviewed the 2009-2010 SIP. Goals and action steps were discussed in order to complete the end of year report as well as plan and develop the 2010-2011 SIP. The 2010-2011 SIP planning and development will begin once FCAT scores are received.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:10 a.m.
