Others Present:
1. Approval of Minutes: The EESAC minutes were approved.
2. School Improvement Plan (SIP) 2010-2011:
• The SIP is in progress for mid-year updates. We are awaiting data to be posted in order to finalize the draft. Classroom visitations by the leadership team indicate that the strategies in the SIP are being implemented in all grade levels. The District Winter Interim data show positive results when compared to the Baseline Assessment.
3. School Operations:
• Ms. Klein wanted to extend her deepest appreciation for everyone’s hard work during the past few weeks.
• School Uniform Policy: Our school needs to notify the District as to whether we are a uniform school by 02/25/11. EESAC unanimously voted not to bring this issue to a vote.
4. Curriculum Issues:
• The Diagnostic reports have been distributed to everyone.
• F.A.I.R. testing window is April 11 – 22 for Kindergarten.
• Teacher Resources: Several grade levels received the Florida Ready (Reading) workbooks and Teacher Guide. These instructional tools are to be used at the teacher’s discretion. In other words, you may elect to use the lessons as a whole group lesson or at the teacher led center as a skills focus mini-lesson. These books include the new benchmarks.
5. Budget:
• There is approximately $1,959 available in EESAC funds as of 02/08/11. A purchase of $260 was made so that Kindergarten could have the “big books” in their lessons.
• Action Item: We must take a vote on how to use the additional monies. Ms. Hampton suggested that we could buy the grab-and-go kits from the Go Math! Series. However, there is not enough money for all grade levels to receive the kits. Perhaps, some grade levels would concede to have primary grades purchase the kits. Please send your vote to EESAC Representative as soon as possible.

6. Title I:
• Parents have started using the language acquisition program.
7. New Business: No new business items.
8. Following a call for "Questions, Comments, and Concerns," the meeting was adjourned at 3:15 p.m.
