1. Call to order and establish quorum
2. Introduce newly elected members: Anette Gomez, Nicole Jimenez, Carolina Gonzalez, Galia Gutierrez, Maria Jimenez, and Marlen Camos
3. Welcome to 1st EESAC meeting of the 2011-2012 school year
4. Update by Principal
a. A+ school for the 7th consecutive year
i. Designated a High Performing Charter School as per the FLDOE (Florida Department of Education)
b. Current student enrollment at 547
i. We are still accepting waiting list applications for certain grade levels.
c. Early intervention program will begin on October 4, 2011 for qualifying students in grades 1st-5th.
d. Recognition award funds for being an “A” school for the 2010-2011 school year
i. EESAC voted and agreed that funds will be distributed amongst all staff members as an incentive.
ii. Student reward for all students scoring a 3 or higher on all areas of the FCAT 2.0 will be a trip to Disney
iii. Student reward for all students scoring a 5 or higher on all areas of the FCAT 2.0 will be a $500.00 gift card.
e. Hispanic Heritage Festival will take place on September 28, 2011.
5. Update by EESAC members
a. SIP was reviewed and approved by EESAC members prior to submitting it to the Florida Bureau of School Improvement
b. EESAC roster approved by members
c. EESAC members voted and agreed to use EESAC funds to purchase afterschool tutoring materials
