Topics Covered

Approval of minutes: Mrs. Robledo called the meeting to order at 8:35 a.m. The minutes from January 24, 2012, were reviewed and approved unanimously.

Official Business:
Mrs. Stroleny advised that Mrs. Gonzalez was out due to having surgery. The first order of business related to the School Improvement Plan and the existing Labor Contract Waiver to maintain the school’s block schedule. The faculty voted on March 2, 2012 by secret ballot to make no changes to the existing waiver with 53 votes for and two votes against maintaining the existing contract waiver. The faculty as a whole wanted to keep the present block schedule for maintaining high student achievement. Mr. Sands made a motion regarding maintaining the existing waiver and Mr. Sejeck seconded the motion. The EESAC approved maintaining the existing waiver unanimously.
The second order of business related to the school’s uniform policy. The ESSAC unanimously supported maintaining existing uniform policy. No changes were suggested or requested.

SIP Review: Mrs. Stroleny stated that the most current student performance data had been reviewed at the last EESAC meeting and that at the present time, there was no new data.

Principal’s Message: Mrs. Stroleny stated that Mrs. Gonzalez sent her regards and wished everyone a safe and restful spring recess. The next scheduled EESAC meeting is May 1.
