The meeting was called to order at 8:22 a.m. by Sandra Ames in the Media Center of Dorothy M. Wallace COPE Center.

The minutes from the meeting held on February 9, 2012 was approved with no changes.

Ms. Ames held discussion on whether there should be changes made to school dress code. Jacket colors changed to any color now, plain, no writing or designs. Pants must be full length, no rips, tears, or capri length. Pants can be jeans, black, khaki, or navy. No changes to types of shoes that can be worn.

A consensus was reached – Shirts will stay the same – red, white, blue polo; Pants will remain long, no colors or stretch; Jackets will stay same – must open in front, can be any color; Shoes remain same – no slippers, must have strap across heel.

The Waiver for Block Scheduling was voted on by the staff on February 28, 2012 –74% for Block Scheduling, 26% Against Block Scheduling.

Ms. Sparling informed those present that she had signed up for Donors Choose.org. She ordered globes for the classroom.

Ms. Starling asked about the School Improvement Plan – how does it work? Discussion was held to answer her question. The HOSA program gets points for the academy if the school is graded.

The next meeting will be announced at a later date.
